Intro[]
According to the calendar, Christmas should already be over. But in the ghost world, there's still no end to the holiday in sight! That's because the new rookie Santa has yet to clear away the Christmas decorations that adorn the streets. Giant serpents have appeared to impede Santa's cleanup efforts. But if Christmas doesn't end before the New Year, it will be, quite literally, the end of the world. Ghost agents and their faithful ghosts take to the streets to avert the crisis and save the world before the year's end!
Hatsuyume (初夢) is the Japanese word for the first dream had in the new year. Traditionally, the contents of the dream would foretell the luck of the dreamer in the ensuing year. In Japan, the night of December 31 was often passed without sleeping, thus the hatsuyume was often the dream seen the night of January 1. This explains why January 2 (the day after the night of the "first dream") is known as Hatsuyume in the traditional Japanese calendar.
It is considered to be particularly good luck to dream of Mount Fuji, a hawk, and an eggplant. This belief has been in place since the early Edo period but there are various theories regarding the origins as to why this particular combination was considered to be auspicious. One theory suggests that this combination is lucky because Mount Fuji is Japan's highest mountain, the hawk is a clever and strong bird, and the word for eggplant (nasu or nasubi 茄子) suggests achieving something great (nasu 成す). Another theory suggests that this combination arose because Mount Fuji, falconry, and early eggplants were favorites of the shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Event Notes[]
Mizunotomi are ghost that only appear during this event. They will go away when the event period ends.
The daemons with the highest combined Attack and Defense will be automatically select to fight for you in conquest battles.
A certain amount of time after appearing, Mizunotomi will escape. Damage inflicted before this time is cumulative, so be sure to defeat them before they run away.
A Mizunotomi that has appeared can be fought at any time within the event period from your home page or the event top page.
The level of the Mizunotomi that appear increases every time you defeat one.
If the Mizunotomi escapes, then the next encounter with it would be of a random level that you have previously faced.
You can get special Conquest Level Rewards for defeating Mizunotomi of a certain level.
Your number of Mizunotomi Conquest Points is used to determine your rank.
Rankings are based on Mizunotomi Conquest Points. If two players have the same number of Conquest Points, the player who accumulated them first will be given the higher rank.
Calculating the rankings can take time, so it is possible that the current positions are not correct.
Special abilities are triggered simply by having a daemon with special abilities in your possession. (Special abilities belonging to daemons in your Inbox will not be activated.)
Possessing multiple daemons with the same special ability has no effect on the strength of the special ability.
Special abilities can only be used during the "Neverending Christmas" event period.
