Amanojaku is usually portrayed as a small oni (demon). It is also seen as male, not female. Amanojaku is most commonly referred to as the one who killed the girl who was miraculously born from a melon and impersonated her by wearing her skin. Amonjaku can see into people's hearts which sort of makes it a pervert. Amanojaku gains power by having more people fear it, so it is best to not be afraid. Even if it is in a weak form, it can still create fear in people's hearts by dropping dangerous objects on them and stuff.
