Ayakashi: Ghost Guild (Onmyouroku) Wiki

How normal battle mechanics work:

Basic concepts:

Combat consists of comparing the attacking cards' combined Attack value to the defending cards' combined Defense value (after they've been adjusted by skills and other mechanics discussed below.) Whichever value is higher wins. There are no "hit points" to damage, it's a single all-or-nothing comparison.

You are the attacker when you challenge a player, and in any storyline fight versus the computer. You are the defender when another player challenges you. Defending fights always happen in the background without notifying you, but you can view and replay them in your battle records.

You cannot refuse challenges or "turn off" PVP.

Each card has a "Spirit" value. Your character's "ATK Spirit" and "DEF Spirit" is the limit of your cards' combined spirit values for a battle. Raising those two stats will allow the computer to pull out more powerful combinations from your attack and defense teams.

The computer will automatically select the cards on your attack or defense roster that give the highest combined base attack or defense value (limited by spirit values.) It does not take into account potential increases from card synergies discussed in the next sections, but you can change that by limiting your attack and defense rosters to the exact cards you want used. However in practice, it's usually more advantageous to just include your most powerful cards - the adjustments from skills and synergies generally make much less of a difference than simply having more rare cards than your opponent.

Leader Bonus + Team Bonus[]

First of all, players have to understand that there's a Type advantage mechanic in the game.

  • Anima has advantage over Divina
  • Divina has advantage over Phantom
  • Phantom has advantage over Anima
  • Remember "A beats D, D beats P, P beats A". It's easy to remember because the order is alphabetical "ADP".
  • Or you can just remember the pokemon starters, fire beats grass beats water beats fire, so red (phantom) beats green (anima) beats blue (divina) beats red (phantom)

  1. If your Leader has an advantage over an enemy's Leader, your whole team will start off with a 15% bonus to the base value.
  2. Moreover, for each team member that shares the same type as the Leader, the team will get an additional 1.33% bonus added to the base value.
  3. Therefore, the total bonus will potentially be 20% if you have a full team of the same type advantage over the enemy's Leader.

My Leader is level 50 Kaguya (Divina, 3390 / 4485) and I have 4 other team members, 2 x level 30 Kaede (Divina, 900 / 720) and 2 x level 30 Pillow Phantom (Phantom, 1300 / 1400). Enemy Leader is Koropokkur (Phantom).

My base attack is 3390 + 900 + 900 + 1300 + 1300 = 7790

Leader advantage gives +15% bonus, team gives 2 x 1.33% bonus. Total bonus = 17.66%

Total attack = 1.1766 x 7790 = 9166

Buffs (Attack Increment) / Debuffs (Defense Reduction)[]

All buffs and debuffs affect base values only. Therefore, you can simplify calculations by adding or subtracting the bonuses since they do NOT compound (multiply) with each other.

During combat while attacking, my team consisting of only the following, have their Daemons' skills trigger:

Brenda, Phantom, 5000 / 5750 (Phantom Sigh level 18: Increases all Phantom attack by 20%)

Wind Weasel, Phantom, 1800 / 1440 (Phantom Sigh level 7: Increases all Phantom attack by 9%)

Lady Suzuka, Divina, 7290 / 7725 (Miracle Cure level 13: Increases all Daemon attack by 20%)

Assuming no Type advantage bonus,

Base attack = 5000 + 1800 + 7290 = 14090

Including bonus from skills = (5000 x 1.29) + (1800 x 1.29) + (7290 x 1.20) = 17520

Skill Percentages[]

  • Note: Sorry I took it upon myself to hijack the skill percentage page here. Updated Skill Level terms.

This table the percentages shown for percentages for skills.  Just bringing it over from tcgapp.com by the user kinomoto who took it from Atea.
