This spirit is serving as head of Treasure Sword Village in place of the missing Kusanagi. Maybe it's because he's still a child, but he loves to pull pranks and joke around with people. Apparently part of his job is to trick people who come near the village and send them in the wrong direction. However, despite his appearance, his skill with a sword is actually befitting of the head of Treasure Sword Village. And he supposedly has only ever displayed a fraction of his true ability.
