Shotaro Fuma is probably based off of Kotaro Fuma. Fuma Kotaro was the name and leader of the ninja Fuma Clan during the Sengoku era of Japan. They specialized in horseback guerrilla warfare, and Naval espionage. He served under Hojo Ujimasa. In folk legend, he is featured to be like an Oni.
