Tengu are one of the most famous types of yokai in japan. They are known to resemble human-like or dog-like crows. They usually live in mountains and like to play tricks on humans. There was once a human that was messing around in the mountain and a tengu punished him by stripping him and dropping him down from the sky in the middle of town. Another tale told that a young teenage boy disapeared from the village but came back a couple years later saying that he was taken care of by the tengu and they had taught him things like karate and using a sword. That teenage boy may have been Yoshitsune.
