Ushi no Koku Mairi is known as a Japanese Curse. It is usually done at the hour of the ox, The ritual is complicated, and dates back well over a millenium, and was first done by a woman who was angry at her cheating husband. She was successful at the ritual, and later became the youkai known as the "Hashihime". See Hashihime/Origin
